Panaad 2012 in pictures, Part 2

And the journey continues...
Walk and rest and pray and cry and worry and sing and praise and walk again.

In here, Joel, my sister's classmate, joined us in our walk. And became our photographer (:

I grew up in this Island. Me my sister and my brother with our Lola. But this is actually my first time to walk around it, and in this picture I am standing on my favorite spot of the world.
 My holy ground.
Our Simon. When Jesus fell on the ground carrying the cross, a man named Simon helped him carry the burden.

My sister and Joel.
"Kurog Baboy" ug "Kasoy"
When you walked for 30km and you are still smiling like that.

The evening comes, and so is the morning.
Wisdom is pure,
clear,
confident,
and have no worries.

You know it's already painful when people are walking barefoot. Yet still smiling.

And you see resting places like this.
Especially this. And you are tempted with thoughts of quitting. But you run it off. Yes you run your tired feet. Affirming that the joy of the Lord is your strength.

And little did you know, you're almost there.
But sometimes you get wounded.
But God is there to refresh you again. To feed you and to offer you a house where you can lay your head for a while. Amazing grace.
Refreshed and well rested. We took another step to finish the race.
My sister and I. We have been walking for 3 days. The sun has kissed us, made our skin brown like the earth.
And here we are at the 14th Station. Jesus rises from death. We have encircled the Island 64 kilometers long for 3 days!

We have fought the good fight.
We have finished the race.
We have kept the faith!

A victory to remember for the rest of my life.

And look at the JOY on our faces. I've learned a lesson that moment. It is when you are tried and you suffer the hardest that joy is the sweetest. And in your darkest, God shines the brightest.  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them

One of the most challenging, tiring, and painful moment of my life, yet also one of the most joyous.
I never knew my small heart could contain such joy.

Panaad 2012 in pictures, Part 1

Because I didnt get the chance to post pictures of our Panaad trip last year. Here it is, come join me.

My Singles for Christ Family :)

Hola! We're at Binoni port. We were surprised that there is a registration for this, and It's for free. You get an ID and a map. Now who's excited?

Our DGL "pogi" getting ready.

Pictorial first.
That's me, my sister, and Barbie(she is not part of our group but she went along with us)
The sun is so bright, holy, and hot, but we were ready. Look at the sky so blue and the trees so green.

Stopping at a Nipa Hut. Under the shadow of your wings I take refuge.
It is our goal to visit every chapel in the island. We actually slept here for 4 hours to let pass the afternoon heat. Each one occupying a chair.
This Baranggay is actually the most giving. There is free food and water at each corner of the street for the Panaad People :)
The station of the cross. Here we have the second station. There are 14 stations, each station is strategically placed along side the road where people could see it. All 14 stations surround the entire island.
With a generosity like this, you wont go hungry.

I think that's Mt. Hibok-hibok. Ah, Camiguin my beloved.

Here we are. 10 of us. Each so beautiful and brave.

 And tired..and resting.
And God grants us to see beauty like this. My little flower where did you come from?

The work of your hands. What is man that you are mindful of him?
Dirty feet. Feet is dirty.
Even with little money, we were not allowed to go hungry for you are our provider. Banana for free.
The simplicity and beauty of it all. If only you have eyes to see and heart to appreciate little things.

Build your house upon The Rock.

When God is all you've got. Suddenly you'll see God is enough. A friend's acquaintance suddenly prepares a dinner for you.
The pain sometimes becomes unbearable.
So you rest for a while.
Fishers of men. Are we?
For you hold the key to the kingdom of heaven

And so we continue our walk for God.
And God is faithful. Meeting our every need. (You prepare a table before me in the presence of mine enemies) Free Breakfast near White Island.
God's faithfulness is as pretty as this picture. And you are given strength to continue.

And you fall again. So you rest.

We sang praises as we walk and rest.
And we take pictures of our tired feet. That is actually my feet. Lovely! haha.

We are halfway through around the Island. Click here for my Panaad 2012 in pictures, Part 2.
