Camiguin Island (Holy Week)

Went to Camiguin Island for Holy Week. A three and a half day vacation! yay. Ive got lots and lots of pictures. But because this is the one i miss most during my childhood days i will post this first....

Yes i went sailing. Together with my two cousins and my lil bro. By the looks of it, from where i am sitting i am the driver.  :D

Hahahah.I love these three!

We want to go to Matangad. Location of The famous horse. Local stories has it that there was this pantion(i have no idea whats the english word for this) of gold in that place. That one of my relatives(i dont know his name) spotted it but he had no idea how to get the pantion of gold out of the water. So he just keeps on coming everyday and looking at the pantion. One day locals saw this very big boat anchored on that place. A rather unusual site. When my relative returned to look at it again it was already gone. (too bad, that's what u get for being selfish. hehehe)The boat was rumored to be owned by the Rodriguez family. Who owns a helicopter, boats and barges and even a private airport. They are indeed wealthy but not that influential because as i and all of us camiguinons know, Camiguin is controlled and sort of owned by the Romualdo's. Well anyway.  Lets not talk about that here. hehehe

Ah. Matangad is on the other side of that bend there.

We are getting closer...
 And closer...

yay. look at that!

And that....

And ooopss...water pollution.

And were here....
I dont know if you can spot it. But that's him on the center. The famous horse.(it does looks like a horse on sideview). We did not come closer coz its a little bit awry and dangerous. yay. Those stones are huge and the place is so quiet. Arent we brave? :p

Little brother caught a fish while we were returning home....

Hahaha its so small! But look at how proud he is! hahhaha oh happy day!

Watercolor week7

THis is like watercolor and everything in between. So lets start!
Because we went to Guadalupe and most of the place has something that looks like this. And when i saw it i put a mental note to remember so i will be able to draw it. NOw Im trying to draw something from my imagination. And this is my first attempt. All of my painting here has a model.

Im using 3 brushes at a time. I find it funny hahahaha.
Now when i get to the water part(the river) I have no idea how to move on. And someone so cute and naughty is bothering my art in progress...
He has a masking tape on his face! I dont know what got on his head. Oh Kids!

That's Argel but we call him Loncio. I think when i do something like this i tend to attract attention in the house coz they want to have a part on it too. You know. Heres my brother. Showing me how to do the water part.
He is so dirty and with no shirt on because he was trying to cook chicken for us. I love my little brother. Here's what he has done....
Oh dear i dont know if i like that at all! Its a river not a sea! It is suppose to be crystal clear. hahahahaa. Well anyways lets continue...
So the place in my memory looks something like this...
hehehe not bad. hahahaha. And just because i tend to gravitate people when i do this and somehow bring out the artistic part in them. My brother's best friend, his name is Henelia, says he wants to try it too. SO i let him...
And viola!
This is what he did. Yay.Very nice. I now do believe that what you paint is a reflection of you. Look at that! Henelia is bold and fearless. And somehow the painting reflects him. Agree? :p

Okay see you next week! :p

Daily Gratitude.===========================================================

P.S. I have a lot of things to be grateful for and let me tell you one of those incident which topped the list. I was again caught by my manager sleeping while on work. She kind of woke me up and i was so surprised that i shouted just a little bit. I was so embarrassed that i went laughing uncontrollably. I cannot stop nor contain myself. I just went on laughing with her watching with a look of confusion on her face. hehehe i love my manager. hahahaha
2. God must have been delighting himself on me that i get to laugh even on the smallest things lately. And i am ever so grateful. Thank you Lord. Abba-cakes salamat. :p
3. God forgives. And i am grateful for his immeasurable mercy. It covers the whole world.
4. For Mimai's fruit salad.

Smile that heals

 "Peace begins with a smile."
-Mother Teresa

Just before i head back to sleep i just wanna list the things im grateful for today and maybe talk a little about what im going through. Confess i guess. Here we go. I have been so harassed this past few days. Just to let you know harass is the word we use when being tempted by the devil by my SFC family. (strong word eh?)  Yes i have been so angry at everyone and myself without really any reason at all. Just being angry and stubborn. gah i dont really have any idea what's going on. I cant even control my emotions. For a moment i thought i wanna be selfish, i wanna go wild, stop caring, forget everything. Something like that. Its really heavy to carry when you are at that state. It is painful coz sometimes you hurt people with you knowing, which is even more painful. But then i go back and look at those pictures of people who inspire me. And i notice all those people have got beautiful smiles. I thought to my self. They are so beautiful because they are at peace with themselves. When i look at them i see kindness. arggghhhh The beauty of a kind heart. It shines and heals. It reads you and says to you i know your wounds. I remembered i read about a story of St. Therese of Lisieux and of how she was healed by her sickness. In her diary she said she saw Mama Mary smiling at her and then she was suddenly cured. It must have been a smile of kindness. The kind of smile that only kind people can produce and show and there is no way of faking it. No wonder St. Therese was healed by Our Lady's ravishing smile. Because when i see people who has got those smile it does something with my soul. A kind smile can certainly heal.

Things im grateful for today

1. Went swimming with my mom, sister and cousin at Pryce Hotel. I was so happy and giggling when i hit the water. Ah. I miss swimming. I used to swim every single day way back then in Camiguin Island. Ah those memories.
2. Grateful for Mimai's efficacent oil.
3. I am grateful that after days of being angry i am now slowly healing. Last night i just laughed and laughed at myself and it did me and my soul a whole lot of good. Smile beautiful soul. Thank you. Holy Spirit thank you.
4. Read my gratitude journal again. I miss writing on my notebook. It is so much more personal than what i have here online. So considering the thought of going back to it again than here.
5. I sleep a whole bunch last night. :P hehehe. Sleep can do your soul whole lot of good too. So if you are tired and you cant understand yourself, sometimes you just have to sleep it off.
