How Writing Heals

There are so many things in my head that I want to write about that I have not really come to understand. They are over my head floating like bubbles and I just have to stretch out my hand to pop them open one by one.

These things that I want to write are but a shadow and a feeling, and I am afraid if I begin to write about them shadows I would never be able to discern the true form. The unfinished thoughts in my head; some of them deliberately suppressed, and many I was not able to follow mainly because I have no will and courage to explore.

I want to write important and meaningful topics but I am afraid I maybe wrong in a lot of things, or that, if I get back to them after many days, I will find them meaningless to me.

I want to write about this great silence in me, this chasm of ignorance. The feeling of for all I know I know nothing. And so what rights have I to say when what I say does not edify?

This overwhelms me.

This is then I get back to Sarah Kay (my fave poet as of the moment). She talks about poetry at age 14, what do you know at 14? She said, it doesn't matter, write about being 14 - what it feels like.

I love that wisdom. I feel like, she's saying, it’s okay, write about not knowing - at age 25 and not knowing! It makes me laugh but it makes me feel fine. So this is what it feels like today and I'm writing about it and I am starting to feel good already.

Don't Let Them Take Your Joy Away

It has crept up my window. Thank you for this grace
.

These are for the times when the wound is so fresh
And you blame no one but yourself.

I know there are hard times.
Times when you feel like giving up on yourself,
When the last glimmer of hope, has faded out of you,
and words they hurt so bad.

I want you to know,
That these are times when God is near,
That grace overflows the more.

Come to the spring
To refresh you
Do not let anyone take your joy away from you
Not even yourself.

The Secret of Life

The secret of life
Is to Act Like A Goddess!

To Think Beautiful and Loving Thoughts

To Acknowledge God in ALL You Do
For He will Help You
Bless You
And
Guide You

A Sure Promise that You can HOLD on for the REST of Your Life!

(My 25th birthday pictures. Finally something good came out of me looking younger than my age. I used to hate it because people don't usually take me seriously. Now that I am getting a bit older, looking young seriously is the best thing you can have. I decided to just grow gracefully. And to be always young at heart)

And for my birthday this is my wish:
That you may find comfort in God.
That you may learn to enjoy and delight in His presence.
To be fully satisfied in Him.
That He may give you that grace.
Smile!
And remember, you are a Goddess!
 Fearfully and wonderfully made.
Child of the Living God.

My Top 3 Videos last year (2012)

So here are some of my top favorite videos last 2012. My favorite person right now is Sarah Kay. I watched her videos for like almost everyday for the last month. I've listened to some of her interviews, i especially love her way with words interview with Krista Tippet.

Here is Saray Kay on her Ted talk reciting Point B and Hiroshima.

...I want her to see the world through the underside of a glass bottom boat, to look through a magnifying glass at the galaxies that exist on the pin point of a human mind. Because that’s how my mom taught me. That there’ll be days like this, “There’ll be days like this my momma said” when you open your hands to catch and wind up with only blisters and bruises. When you step out of the phone booth and try to fly and the very people you wanna save are the ones standing on your cape. When your boots will fill with rain and you’ll be up to your knees in disappointment and those are the very days you have all the more reason to say “thank you,” ‘cause there is nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline no matter how many times it’s sent away...

My second favorite is the  Som Sabadell flashmob video. It's about the power of classical music. I am not into classical music but i was so moved while watching the video. I was crying a little bit. And that lady in 2:35 with the look of surprise joy on her face is priceless.

And lastly, this warm, warm video from the Jimmy Kimmel Halloween Challenge. This little girl is Madeline. She is 3 years old.  And this was her response when her mother told her that she ate her Halloween candy. There is hope for humanity when you have little children with this kind of attitude ( amid all the killings and craziness going around you could barely stand).

Aw baby girl, you are so much mature than most adults i know! God bless your kind heart. And God bless your mother too for a job well done on raising you :)

So i hope you enjoyed watching my top 3 videos for the year 2012 - assuming you took the time to watch all three. I hope you would. It's worth your time. Promise :)

So what are your fave videos last year? Let me know!

I'm a Chaster

Yes, after all these years. I am still a chaster. Even amidst all the critics of how she completely changed her image particularly the hair- i am still a fan. Because how can you not be? She just keeps getting better and better. So you go girl. I am in total awe of how you managed to keep your head high even though it seems like the whole nation was against you during the xfactor tv-series . I am glad  t'is over and that you are now where you are truly appreciated. And I would just like to let you know, i dont care how you wear your hair and i dont think it's that bad either, just be true to yourself :)

And to all you Charice haters, i mean confused admirers :) This song is for you...

Charice- Clown (An Emeli Sande Cover)

I guess it's funnier from where you're standing
'Cause from over here I've missed the joke
Cleared the way for my crash landing
I've done it again, another number for your notes
I'd be smiling if I wasn't so desperate
I'd be patient if I had the time
I could stop and answer all of your questions
As soon as I find out how I could move from the back of the line

So I'll be your clown
Behind the glass
Go 'head and laugh 'cause it's funny
I would too if I saw me
I'll be your clown
On your favorite channel
My life's a circus-circus rounding circles
I'm selling out tonight

I'd be less angry if it was my decision
And the money was just rolling in
If I had more than my ambition
I'll have time to please
I'll have time to thank you as soon as I win

Chorus:
So I'll be your clown
Behind the glass
Go 'head and laugh 'cause it's funny
I would too if I saw me
I'll be your clown
On your favorite channel
My life's a circus-circus rounding circles
I'm selling out tonight

Bridge:

From a distance my choice is simple
From a distance I can entertain
So you can see me I put makeup on my face
But there's no way you can feel it
From so far away

Chorus:

So I'll be your clown
Behind the glass
Go 'head and laugh 'cause it's funny
I would too if I saw me
I'll be your clown
On your favorite channel
My life's a circus-circus rounding circles
I'm selling out tonight

On Smoking

Because I had had (past tense) a manager who smokes a lot, but this is not about her, nor about smoking. This is my story about SMOKES.

When I was a kid (I still am) my Papa (my mother's brother) used to boss us around children to light his cigarette. I don’t know why Lighters are not that popular in those days.

I remember being really happy when I  get to light the fresh cigarette. I would go to the kitchen where woods are used to cook our meals. In those days people use woods to cook and we have dirty kitchens at home. We do have stoves but people on those days seem to have the luxury of time to build fire to cook. We even have chopped woods under our house, pile and piles of chopped woods.

I remember being really happy when I get the chance to light the fresh cigar of my Papa. What I do is that I just don't light the cigar using my hand but I  do them lighting by putting first the cigar in my mouth and get my face really close to the fire till I feel the heat and the tip of the cigarette catches fire.

And I inhale like CRAZY!

I do it fast and quick. In my imagination I used to pretend that I am an actress or a celebrity. I don't know why when I was a kid I see people as being glamorous when they smoke. Now I certainly don't.  I don't do it when people are around. I make sure nobody's watching.

I remember feeling madly high and happy knowing I've done something wicked. I do it real quick so my Papa won’t notice and I hand him the cigar and act like a little angel.

Oh the high I get!

I knew then that I was a little rebel. I know it's wicked acting like a little angel when you are clearly not. Some children use to just show their bad, rebellious side but no not me. I'M THIS LITTLE ANGEL!!! SEE?

People don't know anything about me really.

I still carry that trait to this day. I told you I still am a kid! I still wear mask when I am angry, sad, or when I do wicked, wicked things. I do try to be honest as much as possible now, to show my real feelings, to show the real me.

But habits are hard to break especially when it's from childhood. So yeah, I'm no angel, maybe a bit rebel inside and definitely a sinner.

I do appreciate myself now; it’s hard to live with one self when you don't.

See that little rebel inside? :p

***

I have a lot of things to be thankful for today.
You see I have not been writing things I'm grateful about in here. So let me start with being really grateful for the grace of forgiveness.(It's hard for me to forgive myself but I'm learning now; i try to be kind to me. I want me as my own best friend and not to treat me badly).

I'm grateful for a new day and for new beginnings. I do love mornings! Let us always begin again. And again.

Manifest, go, create!

If i can remember all these words then living my life would be worthwhile.

The Fruit of My Labor

When you shall eat of the fruit of your hands, You will be happy and it will be well with you -  Psalm 128:2

How sweet it is to enjoy the fruit of your labor. To literally see and touch what you have worked for, Ah, it is pure bliss! If you have read my previous post about my lemon tree and how excited i was to see it bear fruit and how i planned to have my own garden  hehe. I am glad to say to you now that my plant is now bearing fruits and 5 fruits at that! I know sometimes i forget to water them daily but i try my best. You have to know that touching the fruits makes me giddy and happy all over.
Here is before

...and after.

I am one proud gardener! haha if i can be called that. I am waiting for the fruits to turn yellow. yay! The fruits are heavy, as you can see i have to make the handle of the hammer support its trunks. haha. And i also have a lemonsito, visayan term for small lemon. I bought it last January in Balingasag during the fiesta.
A closer look...

Yay! I know im awesome like that. I currently water 3 plants (i have tambis too). I think i'm on my way to having my own garden. These are just one of my simple joys. I love taking care of plants more than animals for the reason that they are just quiet and peaceful. They dont complain when i forget to water them for a couple of days- they just die; and im feeling guilty because 2 of my plants died already.(2 bonsai which cost Php 150 total) I was really sad about it, the weather these days are so hot; but i cant blame the weather i know. I have to be more responsible. Anyways, I am happy with what i have now.

And of course i can't end this post without showing you my dad's plants too. His are orchids! It flowered last year with yellow and white colors on their petals. It was so beautiful.

My dad made those wooden thing with the platinum handles that the orchids are clinging to. My dad is awesome like that too huh?  :)
Looking neat. He waters them daily too. And bring them out ever so often to enjoy the sun.

Things im grateful for today

1. I'm grateful for chang2 who invited us to her Herbalife chuva in Dynasty Hotel. I was so hungry before the seminar and the food they served was awesome. Need i mention i was lost before that? I know it could only happen to me. haha. The seminar was on the 7th floor but i ended up on the 5th floor so i did a little tour(esey). I actually learned a lot from the seminar about good health and good nutrition. I was inspired.

2. I'm grateful for Eva and Cute. Haha. It was fun cheering the two of them to loose weight. I took pictures of them so i can document their before and after transformation, just in case they decide to take on the task to loose the so called fats. Hehe but i love them the way they are, i will love them more if they could love and be proud with their bodies. Go ladies! I am all for you being sexy!

3. And lastly i am grateful for my new mobile phone. It's a samsung galaxy young which my cousin lend to me for half the original price. I am indeed under God's unprecedented favor. yay! I dont text much. I can go on without my phone for a year! BUt you know i have friends. I need to stay connected so i have to have one. I downloaded a lot of games and books on it. Most of the time i use it just to play and read ebooks and take pictures. Those pictures above are taken from my phone. I am happy. :)

Thank you 2011

"We steadily grow into the likeness of that which we constantly love"
- Christian Larson

As we leave 2011 i shall count all the things i am grateful for that have touched my heart.

                                                                          image

I am truly grateful for the trees!

- Yes the trees! Because in them i see God. In them i feel hope and peace so calm. When i am angry i look at trees or when i miss talking to God, I look at trees- I look at trees all the time! They seem to know a lot of things. They go down through history. Some a thousand years old! take for example the Old Tjikko, a 9550 year old Norway Spruce, is the oldest known living individual clonal tree. yay! (Take a look at  wikipedia to see a list of the oldest trees.) And lastly because the trees know how to celebrate life. haha

I am grateful for my SFC family!

- For the bond we made and will be making. For knowing that i am not alone. And for being certain that we are all a work in progress. I am truly grateful for everysingle improvement that we make in our daily lives! I am excited to see how much we will improve by the end of 2012 already. In you i know that we are all learners in life, may God melt and mold us and fill us with His Holy Spirit so that we can build each other up. We will run the race together and we will pray for each other.

yay! I wish i can have a workstation at home as lovely as that! image

I am grateful for my work!

-  For my work reveals my weaknesses and my strength. I can see myself a whole lot better because i have work to do. And how i do it reveals my true character especially now that i am working telecommute in which i feel so blessed(Working at home is a privilege not available to many hehe ). It is indeed true that "The reward of our work is not what we get, but what we become."

I am grateful for my family and friends!

- Life would be meaningless without your family and friends! For what would be the reason for all your hard work if you cannot share your life with them? I am grateful that i have an understanding family. Because who can stand my whims and laziness? haha for all the second chances they gave and for not counting mistakes. I have the best family there is! I am also grateful for my friends! You are God's gift to me. I see beauty in you. We are friends because we resonate the same level of weirdness. hehe

I am grateful for those blogs i visit often because they inspire creativity and constancy:

Karenika.com - I think i have grown to love karen's blog without me knowing it. I love seeing Nathaniel and David grow. haha from having a tooth remove to seeing  a new smile. I love how karen documents her day with her family. And not to mention her layouts! I love how she's constantly doing what she loves.

http://blog.vanillerygarden.com/ - Natalie is oozing with creativity. Her drawings and stuffs are so cute. haha and her cats too! She's a free spirit! I love how honest and open her writing is! And i love the fact that she's in her 20's just like me.

http://www.youtube.com/user/TheBathroomGirl - yay! For Cherry is on the top list of my "inspiring people". Her music and the work that she does. Her whole character is just inspiring. For inspiration, I advise you to go check her out.

---

<-- And lastly i would like to take this opportunity to thank the person responsible for me having my own domain. haha. Cute2 you are! Ikaw na! :) Thank you so much cute for buying me my own domain and for the $1 thing. haha. You made my Christmas memorable with your gift. Thank you, thank you!

I wish you all the best in life! Carry healing, love, joy and encouragement as you go through life!
Always forever in gratitude,

Be. Live. More.

Wanting to be more is a dreadful feeling. It stretches you like a rubber bond. Life has been awfully stagnant for me and there is this constant desire to want more out of life. Like be more mature, be more caring, be more responsible, laugh more, enjoy life more, live more, serve more, be holy, be beautiful, be more like Jesus...and all the more's i could think of to be. I have gone out to search on how to resolve this. Like read self help books(ive read a lot!) - really you can learn from this but i tell you, all those ideas the authors gave will all the more stretch you to do this and do that. You have not even began your work and your already tired. That's what ideas can do. Small change i shall say. If you are not careful you will be fully loaded and will not even be able to understand yourself why you are not satisfied with what you do. You have set a standard for yourself without even conscious about it. Now not hitting those standards will make you feel dissatisfied. That's what reading ideas can do. It slowly creeps on your skin and then on your brain. Oh the things you read. I hope we can have some recycle bins in our minds so we can throw them out or better yet shift+delete(that's how to permanently delete a file folks! ) all the things we have downloaded in there. This is the reason why sometimes i don't get myself. Wanting to be more is a good thing but it hides under a cloud of doubts. If you don't have the sun to shine through it i tell you- you can get lost with the overwhelming sensation of doubts and doubts and doubts. As what St Paul says "I do not understand what I do. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.." We are all dealing here with oldest and the newest = Time.  Time is what you have but do not own and time as they say and i agree is precious. What you do with it will determine on who you will become.

To whoever or whatever the name of the force/forces(for they are too strong for me) maybe that brings about the stretch I am utterly grateful. For you bring out the true me and you bring out the "who" i decide to be.

If you are wondering what i have learned from all of this St Paul again can explain(isn't it wonderful to find out that saints do experience what we are going through?)

So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!
and Amen! i say to that! Thank you  Lord for you are my hope. On you i shall i put my trust. My rock and my salvation. My Jesus Christ, my God and my Lord. Rule my life. - You know in the end all i want, all i really want is just to please you.

Im more happy being grateful

 Yet, even now i know;
The Lord will work wonders for me
and it will infinitely surpass my boundless desires
-from little flower adopted by little flock a.ka. tabulyo

And because for the past three months i have been so busy being tired after every shift(night shift is such an energy sucker) There are a lot of things ive missed and failed to consistently do! First and foremost is of course my daily gratitude list! Ive noticed i am unpleasant when i forget to do this. Somehow something is missing. And that i am more fearful and so much more reserved. ahahaha wanna feel like living in a cave?... and secondly i have forgotten to do my water color weekly project- This is something that i really want to pursue. So without much further a do here are the things im grateful for today.

I am grateful for our Media Negotiation Training and Workshop. The passion these people have  with their work is admirable-i hope it will rub off of me. hehehe. I am thankful that they actually thought of sharing their knowledge to us. I am in awe of how knowledgeable and generous these people are. And somehow in the depths of me i am glad i am a part of them.

I am grateful for all the internal trials i have been experiencing. I know its hard and heavy inside but i am thankful and full of gratitude for these trials. Because in them i know that God is at work in me. So now i will let go and stop worrying about it. I will abandon myself to God and let him do what he wants to accomplish in me. As what St Therese says “You do not need to know what the good Lord is doing in you; you are too little.”. I will be content with that.

I am grateful for my friends. They are my happiness. A part that makes life a whole lot more beautiful.

I am grateful for Eva and Sheila- you two are God's instrument. Thank you.

I am grateful for Ate Nessa and Lovely and for Ave too- nothing beats old friends.
NOw im missing the 7 dwarfs.

I am grateful for kenny and chang2 and cute and mimai, glaiza, bernie, jeah, jessie and kuya jones too.

I am grateful for my life for what i express and for who i am.

I am grateful for my God and for his love that knows no fear. May i learn to love that way.

Im grateful for the story ive read about a girl who is so shy that even saying hello to other people took a lot of courage. Now she is a successful businesswoman because somehow she said she has been so accustomed to using her courage often that in time of great need for it it has somehow seen her through.- i cried while reading her story. The little girl in me who has been in great pain has been touched.

I pray for healing and for acceptance. For peace and for learning to live it.

One Small Step at a Time

Thats really cute! u go chic! or is it a duck?

One small step at a time. That would be my motto for this month. hehe i know its a little late being halfway through with the days of June but still small change adds up right? Right. :D There are a lot of things i wanna say right away- right this very moment, but words if they can travel fast especially English can get congested right trough my neck. hahaha. So i will remember my one small step...first off i wanna say thanks. :D Okay lets get this numbered.

1. Thank you to all my new lovely followers. hehe i never thought i can be this interesting. haha. Thank you to  Jen (i was really shocked and surprised to see you here in my blog. It cant be but that hair of yours is unmistakable :) ) to Mengenai my nose is bleeding while reading your blog. hahaha, to Solelyshe thanks ill visit ur blog soon! and lastly to Stephanie salamat i followed you back! Thanks it is a treat to see all of you dropping by. hehe.

2. I am thankful for the Gift of acceptance. Life is not easy sometimes especially people. They can really get into your nerves. But as they say Light is the only way to dispel darkness and love is the only way to dispel hatred. And love for me at this moment of my life now has taken a new form in the word of ACCEPTANCE. I think Love is a gate and Acceptance is the key. And if you get to open it, you'll have heaven on earth. hehe i think that is some kind of prudent of me to think that. hahaha. YOull never really know what you can come up with with a keyboard and a monitor(A new way to ponder things! ). :p

3. I am grateful that i finally made it to my dentist! hahaha. Got my tooth pulled out. I can still feel the effects of anesthesia in my mouth. Im grateful for my Ate king and Otingkay for coming with me. You guys are the best!

4. Grateful for the spaghetti chachuchang brought! I was so hungry last night! THanks chang gpakaon jd ko nimo literally! Ur like my big sister! hahaha thank you for taking charge every time i get so bataot. :D. Belated.

5. Im grateful for dai Eva! Dai Eva my sister in Christ. Hehehe you are God's instrument. God's hope and God's messenger. Thank you dai for letting me bother you every time i am bothered. hahaha

6. Bought two books! hahaha I think i am now officially more of a book hoarder than a reader. WHat to do? One small Step At a Time.

7. And lastly i am grateful for doing this. Writing down all the things im grateful for today. Life is good. :p

And my one small step, my one small change for this June is to smile. That's it. To SMILE :D

P.S. Im super grateful for twitter. Work would be a little boring without it.

Martha Graham

Today May 11, 2011, Google features Martha Graham's 117th birthday with an animation by Ryan Woodward. I was very much fascinated by it. I thought it was some kind of a ninja moves. You know the Naruto kind of way. But no, it was Martha Graham. A dancer as ive found out. And if not for google i would have not read this text from her The Life and Work of Martha Graham writing. Come read along with me this precious text. And let us all learn something from it. This is especially to those who feel they have an artist inside of them. hehe

There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep yourself open and aware to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. ... No artist is pleased. [There is] no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer divine dissatisfaction, a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others."
source from wikipedia .

What more can i say? Beautiful isnt it? To life, beauty and art!

Smile that heals

 "Peace begins with a smile."
-Mother Teresa

Just before i head back to sleep i just wanna list the things im grateful for today and maybe talk a little about what im going through. Confess i guess. Here we go. I have been so harassed this past few days. Just to let you know harass is the word we use when being tempted by the devil by my SFC family. (strong word eh?)  Yes i have been so angry at everyone and myself without really any reason at all. Just being angry and stubborn. gah i dont really have any idea what's going on. I cant even control my emotions. For a moment i thought i wanna be selfish, i wanna go wild, stop caring, forget everything. Something like that. Its really heavy to carry when you are at that state. It is painful coz sometimes you hurt people with you knowing, which is even more painful. But then i go back and look at those pictures of people who inspire me. And i notice all those people have got beautiful smiles. I thought to my self. They are so beautiful because they are at peace with themselves. When i look at them i see kindness. arggghhhh The beauty of a kind heart. It shines and heals. It reads you and says to you i know your wounds. I remembered i read about a story of St. Therese of Lisieux and of how she was healed by her sickness. In her diary she said she saw Mama Mary smiling at her and then she was suddenly cured. It must have been a smile of kindness. The kind of smile that only kind people can produce and show and there is no way of faking it. No wonder St. Therese was healed by Our Lady's ravishing smile. Because when i see people who has got those smile it does something with my soul. A kind smile can certainly heal.

Things im grateful for today

1. Went swimming with my mom, sister and cousin at Pryce Hotel. I was so happy and giggling when i hit the water. Ah. I miss swimming. I used to swim every single day way back then in Camiguin Island. Ah those memories.
2. Grateful for Mimai's efficacent oil.
3. I am grateful that after days of being angry i am now slowly healing. Last night i just laughed and laughed at myself and it did me and my soul a whole lot of good. Smile beautiful soul. Thank you. Holy Spirit thank you.
4. Read my gratitude journal again. I miss writing on my notebook. It is so much more personal than what i have here online. So considering the thought of going back to it again than here.
5. I sleep a whole bunch last night. :P hehehe. Sleep can do your soul whole lot of good too. So if you are tired and you cant understand yourself, sometimes you just have to sleep it off.

My Desire

I know its a little too late but i just want to share what i want to meditate/achieve/sacrifice and do for lent. yay.

First of i want to Practice the Presence of God. I know this is some sort of like a lifetime desire and pursuit but to put it in Brother Lawrence words:

"There is not in the world a kind of life more sweet and delightful, than that of a continual conversation with God. Those only can comprehend it who practice and experience it."     ... Brother Lawrence

If you want to learn more about it you can check this site http://www.practicegodspresence.com/ . This site is what i read especially the "reflections" part every time im bored with my work.(Im online 8 hours so i get to open that site daily :p)

And the second one, i got from a buddhism site (who says we cant learn from other religions too?) try to take a look.

"Aware of the suffering caused by unmindful speech and the inability to listen to others,I am committed to cultivating loving speech and deep listening in order to bring joy and happiness to others and relieve others of their suffering.

Knowing that words can create happiness or suffering, I am determined to speak truthfully, with words that inspire self-confidence, joy, and hope.  I will not spread news that I do not know to be certain and will not criticize or condemn things of which I am not sure.  I will refrain from uttering words that can cause division or discord, or that can cause the family or the community to break. I am determined to make all efforts to reconcile and resolve all conflicts, however small."

I know how powerful words are. And mine is powerful (atleast that's what ive noticed). So instead of using my tongue to lash out hurtful words i will now try to undergo deep changes and try as much to control it and use it properly. I know the tongue has been compared to a rudder in a ship. It gives direction to your life. And it has been compared to fire. Yes it can burn...so deep it can even burn the soul. The tongue is one of the smallest part of the body yet the most uncontrollable of them all. I must with all my power reign it. And let my words bring healing and comfort to any soul that will get a chance to listen to me. I kow this one seems impossible to do but hey my God is the god of the impossibles! I shall now start today and live my life with the two desires i have with the help of Christ my savior .

Celebrate awesomeness that is you. and live your life beautifully!

Anyway - The Paradoxical Commandments

Anyway: The Paradoxical Commandments: Finding Personal Meaning in a Crazy World is written by Kent M. Keith in 1968. This book is an expanded version based on the "The Paradoxical Commandments," which he wrote when he was 19, a sophomore at Harvard College.

The Paradoxical Commandments

People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.
The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.
People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.
People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.
Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.

Favorite Quotes: (Everything written on it is worth quoting :))
My Take:
The book  talks about finding meaning in a crazy world. I was amazed by how much Keith has learned from all his experience in life even at a young age and much more in awe of how he applied it.  While i was reading this book i cannot wait to share it to all of you. I was thinking like "oh-my-this-is-a-gem! a one of a kind gem". This is something worth reading. I know for sure you will learn and get something really really important that you can apply in your life from this book. I agree with him that life is not about working for yourself or your family but it is about finding meaning on what you are working for. This book reminds me much of James Allen's As a Man Thinketh where every written word on it has substance and meaning. A very inspirational short read book .
Ratings: 10/10 ; highly recommended!

Live and spend your dash joyfully

I was thinking what to post and then i saw this, i have to re-post.

There was a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend. He read the dates on her tombstone from the beginning…to the end.
He noted first came the date of her birth and spoke the following date with tears, but he said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years.
For that dash stands for all the time that she spent alive on earth…and only those who loved her know what that little line is worth.
It matters not, how much we own; the cars….the house…the cash.
What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard…are there things you’d like to change? For you never know how much time is left that can still be re-arranged
If we would just slow down enough to consider what’s true and real and always try to understand the way that others  feel. We’d be much less quick to anger and show appreciation more and love the people in our lives like we’ve never loved before.
So, when your eulogy’s being read and your life is being rehashed…would you be proud of the things they say about how you spent your dash?   re post from share.sayan.ee

Ah if people will only learn to remember every single day that life is numbered...we will be much much more happier than we are now. :P

Sanay pag-ibig nalang ang isipin ng bawat isa sa mundo...

I want to say out loud that i love you too.

Happy Valentines Abba-cakes! Abba Father I love you! Thank you so much for being faithful no matter how many times i had betrayed you. I'm sorry. Thank you for Loving me in ways i never imagined possible, i never thought im worth that much. Thank you Father for saying again and again how much you love me. I am in awe of your love for me. In awe of how much you care for me. Thank you so much for proving time and time again how you will never leave me. Thank you for your loyalty. Your love is unconditional it is beyond compare. How can i learn to hate others then who have hurt me when your loving me like the way you do. Yet even then i learned to hate. I'm sorry. How can i learn to judge others when amidst all my shortcomings and deceitfulness you never did leave. Yet even then i learned to judge. Im sorry. Im sorry for many times i have witness your great love for me yet i wasn't changed. Hard hearted me. Im sorry Father. How can a soul who knows how much it has been loved yet still not be moved by it. Im sorry. Know my heart today and search me. Clean me and purify me. Set me aside for you alone Abba Father and let me be a beautiful aroma to you. Every single day forgive and renew me for in that way i will be able to give my only gift to you. To praise and to thank you and to celebrate you. I love you Father. Thank you so much! Thank you, thank you, thank you.. I am glad you are my God.

Enjoying God's blessing

I believe life is like an Eat-All-You-Can Buffet.
God has placed us in the middle of a Buffet of Blessings.
But I now realize that there are people who are allergic to God’s blessings.
- Bo Sanchez

---

This is a post much related to the post of Bo Sanchez. Ive long been dying to talk about this but somehow im finding it hard to explain in the right way(much more write about it)

So lets talk about enjoying God's blessing. :) yay! Nice isnt it?
How does mornings sound to you? Do you feel God's mercy being renewed? If it feels like everyday is a new day to you then that my friend is God's wonderful blessing! Let us count that as 1- a reason to celebrate life.
Now when you walk out your house and see all the trees dancing. Please look closely, does it feels like God is enjoying the breezes and touching the trees? Sometimes God plays and its adorable isnt it? Well lets count that as 2 then. Now when you look at people and feel like smiling for some  reason or none at all whatever then that my friend is a gift not known to many. Celebrate then for life is humor. Now when your with your family and friends, does it feels like your playing and jumping from one clouds to another? Or perhaps content and happy? or if your like me you opt to make them laugh and smile by your silly antics just because you can? Or you can just give it all and go crazy all the way. It feels good right? We now have 4 reasons my friend to celebrate life and enjoy God's blessings! Now when you look at yourself and notice your eyes - its beautiful isnt it? Look closely please because there are times your soul appears in your eyes in the form of a smile. Rejoice and celebrate for life is beautiful and God wants you to be happy with all the things he has given you. We now have 5 reasons to count to celebrate life and be joyful. And that is more than enough.
